Social impact
Did you know? Our mission is to not only create great games that are genuine, versatile, and fun, but to have a positive social impact: we give back to the countries that inspire our games.
Using our own funds, we donated $1 after each Reviving Kathmandu game sold on Kickstarter to All Hands and Hearts NGO's Nepal Relief program to support the reconstruction works of a primary school. So while players build monuments in the game, they support an actual school rebuild project in Nepal.
How to play
In Reviving Kathmandu, players travel to Nepal as architects to rebuild the earthquake-hit city of Kathmandu. There are 4 types of Monuments in the game: Buddha, Shrine, Stupa and Pagoda. Each type requires a different number of sections, and therefore a different number of cards to complete.
The game is played over 8 rounds. Each round has 3 phases: Bid, Collect, and Build. Bid: players place 1 of their 5 coins face-down on an available bid spot on the playmat. Collect: players reveal their coins and determine who won each card. Build: players use their cards to build monuments, score points for each completed monument, and for paying attention to color.
The architect who achieves the most points will win the game and become the most respected architect in Kathmandu. To learn more, watch the How to play video below.
